Our story

Boomerang Bags was founded in Burleigh Heads, Queensland in 2013. The founders wanted to reduce public reliance on plastic bags - so they started making fabric bags. They distributed them from central points at shopping locations and people borrowed the bag, shopped and later returned the bag. Hence - Boomerang Bags was born.

Word spread and many groups around the world have come together to make bags and distribute them to their communities in their own unique way.
